They walked out of the building in silence. To Rebecca’s surprise, Sania gently slipped her hand into her’s and held it, intertwining their fingers together. Rebecca knew that they were late for the train and should probably walk faster, but at this point she couldn’t care less. She looked at her side and smiled at Sania, who looked back with eyes gleaming in a manner that completely validated every feeling that Rebecca was experiencing. Sania was in it too and the energy between them was almost tangible.

Rebecca took them to a quaint, traditional pub on the banks of Thames. The evening was already magical. With a glass of House-Red in Sania’s hand and Rebecca going for her traditional Monkey-Shoulder whiskey, they had conversations about life and families. Clearly, they had well surpassed the stage of indulging in small talks. Good thing, they didn’t even need it, because, even when they weren’t speaking, they were comfortable sharing the silences too.

Rebecca was bedazzled by how passionately Sania talked about Politics and Feminism, her favourite author Virginia Woolf and her loved book "A Room of One's Own"; her beliefs about freedom and all that she stood for. This girl was one hell of a sincere soul and Rebecca already respected that about her. In a moment of revelation, Rebecca confessed to Sania, “I am truly amazed at how sincerely you are trying to make it into a job here. It gives me a lot of pride to see you work so hard and with such unflappable spirit.” These words coming from Rebecca clearly meant a lot to Sania for a lump formed in her throat. She looked into Rebecca’s eyes, with unabashed affection and said, “I am so glad and surprised you noticed.” As if not being able to control herself, Rebecca asked, “Why are you so far?” Sania chuckled delicately and got up from her side of the long table to sit on a chair on Rebecca’s side. As if that still didn’t suffice, Rebecca pulled Sania’s chair further towards herself, only stopping when Sania was just shy of an arm's length away from her. Sania loved the authority with which Rebecca did this. She picked up Rebecca’s hand and placed it on her thigh, smirking in the most sexy way, and said, “Is this okay now? ”. Rebecca bit her lower lip and realising she’d met her match, looked straight into Sania’s eyes and replied, “For now I think I can work with this.”

It was almost close to midnight but having a stroll on the Millennium Bridge still seemed like an amazing idea. They walked, holding hands and listening to the Thames. There were very few people on the bridge. On reaching almost half its length, they stood near the Millennium’s fence to look at the water and the banks in all their glory, with the beautiful lights, the Tower Bridge in the distance and the Shard standing tall in all its grandeur. Rebecca looked at Sania with darkened eyes and said, “I really feel like doing something.” As if on cue, Sania started pulling Rebecca away from the railings, telling her to get away from the edge. This utterly confused and amused Rebecca. Firstly, how much of a crazy person had Sania actually thought her to be? Secondly, she knew she had to get Sania en-route to what she was insinuating which meant getting Sania out of her frenzy state. So Rebecca, looking at Sania’s lips, said in her most seductively calming voice, “I was talking about kissing you. May I ?” And right there, Sania felt her cheeks heat up. She blushed and nodded, but didn’t really wait for Rebecca to make the move. Coming forward, she kissed Rebecca.

They sank into the kiss. Rebecca held Sania’s face with one hand while her other hand was wrapped around her waist. Rebecca felt like there couldn’t be a more perfect feeling in the world. It was so organic that she didn’t even think about what she was doing. She just went with it, kissing Sania in a heated wave of passion and not having a care in the world. And when, Sania pushed her tongue into Rebecca’s mouth, all bets were off. Rebecca instantly felt a heated shiver go down her spine. The way Sania wrapped her arms around Rebecca's neck, the way she nibbled on her lips and even smiled into the kiss when Rebecca was just not ready to let go, was something Rebecca wanted to feel again and again. It felt like they juxtaposed in the most perfect sense, as if there was no facade, no games being played, no pretence; just two people and an amazing concoction of affection, respect and lust. These two could be in some serious trouble.
